West Travel Heads to Latin America

First trip of the year brings excitement to travelers

Our young travelers at Denver West HS are beginning to countdown days to the beginning of their adventures. The West Travel Club will be taking close to 40 students on three different trips this year. The first one- during Spring Break- will span eight days as student visit Costa Rica and Panama.

The adventure includes ziplining in the rainforest, snorkeling, white water rafting, and some beach time which includes a surf lesson. They will taking a cooking class in Panama and see the famous Panama Canal.

This is the first adventure travel that West students have attended since a group of 24 went to Puerto Rico in 2022. The previous three trips in 2023 were more culturally focused including Japan, Greece/Italy/Turkey, and New York. As a trip leader we help students decide where they want to travel to and these are the types of factors they consider when deciding what they want to get out of the trip.

We will include more updates for our amazing donors and supporters. Our students have begun receiving scholarships up to 25% of their trip cost which is crucial for them to make this happen. We are thankful for you and we are excited to share with you over the coming months!
